Fire in Panorama Hills destroys condo complex

Most of a condo complex under construction has been destroyed by fire.
Four buildings went up in flames in the northwest community of Panorama Hills.
14 homes in the surrounding area have been evacauted because the blaze is so intense.
Fire crews were called to Panatella Drive at Panatella Square around 2:30a.m. Friday.
The complexes have been under construction since July, and two of them were just weeks away from being move-in ready.
Of four under construction, only one is left standing and is heavily damaged.
David lives a few doors down; he woke up early to see the Northern Lights.
“I saw a huge glowing orange sky, and I looked over and saw the condos just up in fire, so I ran outside to check out what’s going on. It was the biggest fire I’ve ever seen in my life,” he told 660News.
No one was living inside the units at the time.
14 homes on the west side of the construction site had to be evacuated; there was about 20 people in total.
One woman said she saw a bright orange glow outside her window, and the heat was so intense the windows were beginning to crack.
Damage to their homes is extensive; the siding to their houses has been melted away.
