Last chance to get flu shot

The end likely will come Friday, for the provinces supply of flu vaccine.

Health Minister Fred Horne says the province’s recent shipment of vaccine is the last one available “on the planet.”

Alberta Health Services says that after flu shot clinics across the province close, some vaccine will be held back for children needing a second shot, and for hospitals and long-term care homes.

The agency says there have been at least 1500 confirmed cases of the flu in Alberta this season.
