Man in critical condition after being hit by train

A man remains in rough shape Tuesday morning after being clipped by a train downtown.
Police and EMS got the call about the man believed to be between 35 and 40 years old about 9 p.m. Monday night.
He had been struck by the train at a 9th Avenue and 11 Street S.W. crossing.
He was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition.
Traffic in the area was shut down for a short time, but the roadway has since re-opened.
