Online voting begins for pro style Atom tournament

Hundreds of nine and 10-year-old Calgary hockey players are counting the number of sleeps in the lead up to one of minor hockey’s biggest events of the year.

The fourth annual Atom Breakfast Television Outdoor Classic takes place February 21st to 28th with a great deal of online buzz circulating from the young athletes and their fans.

The 56 team tournament runs in rinks all over the city with five of those games televised on Breakfast Television and, pending on weather, on outdoor rinks.

Two lucky teams will also get a chance to play on Saddledome ice, complete with announcers, play-by-play, music and organ players.

As for which Atom division teams will play their championship game at the home of the flames will be determined by an online vote,
