RCMP asks kids to name puppy recruits

Canadian kids are being asked to name the Mounties’ newest furry recruits!

The RCMP Police Dog Service Training Centre in Innisfail is holding a contest to name 10 recently born German Shephard puppies.

The 10 kids whose names are selected will get a laminated photo of the dog they named, a plush pup named Justice, and their very own RCMP cap.

The rules: the names have to start with ‘G’, have no more than nine letters, and be fitting of the dog’s career on the police force.

The contest closes March 5th; winners will be announced April 15th.
