A new book claims Senator Mike Duffy threatened to bring down members of the Conservative Party, if he faced charges over the expense scandal.
The details are in Dan Leger’s “Duffy: Stardom to Senate to Scandal”.
The National Post reports, Duffy believed he was set up by the prime minister’s office, and that the real plan was to abolish the senate.
He reportedly told people if he was to go down, he would have company.
Duffy currently could be charged by mounties with fraud and breach of trust over questionable living claims, and a $90,000 payment he accepted from the then-Chief of Staff Nigel Wright.
