There were some scary moments for the occupants of a northeast home Friday morning.
Shots were fired in a Falconridge neighbourhood around 2 a.m., and one of the bullets went through a window of a house where five people were sleeping.
It happened in the 100 block of Falmere Way NE.
Police are still trying to figure out what exactly happened, and what the motive was.
Investigators believe the shots came from a nearby alleyway, and witnesses said they saw a group of men chasing another group of men.
The sound of the gunshots were so loud, it jolted the homeowner out of bed, but luckily no one was injured.
A man who lives nearby says its not unusual to see police in the neighbourhood.
His next door neighbour was killed last year, and he’s aware of drug activity in the community.
