Barlow wins tory nomination in MacLeod riding

The only candidate who wasn’t endorsed by the National Firearms Association, after gun seizures in High River during last June’s flooding, has won the Federal Conservative nomination in the Macleod riding.

John Barlow had said he would wait for an independent report from the RCMP into the seizures, unlike his running mates who supported a public inquiry.

In Alberta’s last election, Barlow ran as a provincial Tory and came within 2000 votes of beating Wildrose leader Danielle Smith.
