Committee looking into ward boundaries, adding more councillors

There may soon be more bodies sitting on city council.

City council voted Monday to move forward with exploring Calgary’s ward boundaries to see if changes need to be made.

A special committee is also being put together to decide whether they’ll be adding more councillors.

Council positions were last added in the 70’s when Calgary’s population was half what it is today.

The new committee will have to report back on their findings in October.
