Keystone support waning in U.S.

A new poll says support for Keystone XL is falling in the United States.

However, the same survey by Nanos Research says the pipeline project still has the backing of the majority of Americans.

According to The Globe and Mail, of those who were aware of the project, 63 per cent support construction, down from 74 per cent in 2013.

The drop is being attributed to the long delay in approval.

TransCanada applied for a presidential permit for the pipeline almost six years ago.
