Utility fees could go up

Utility hikes could be coming for Calgary as the city looks for millions of dollars to fund wastewater and recycling projects.
A report headed to the Utility and Corporate Services Committee Monday, lists some of the areas that need funding: City Hall will need $7-9-million to manage biosolids at a composting facility, and $26-million to implement the Green Cart Program beginning in 2017.
An in-camera meeting will discuss the possibility of utility fee hikes to cover the bill and that issue will then head to full city council by the end of the month.
