House leader wants MLA’s to keep opinions to themselves

MLA’s Steve Young, Matt Jeneroux and Mary Anne Jablonski have all openly criticized Premier Alison Redford saying she looks weak and not in control of her government.

Not helping the cause are two of Redford’s caucus members, Donna Kennedy-Glans and Len Webber, who quit this week, speculating problems with her leadership and direction.

Robin Campbell, government house leader, says while he can’t stop opposition MLA’s from publicly criticizing Redford, he says he wishes they’d do it in private.

Meanwhile, president of the PC party, Jim McCormick says a work plan for the premier is still in progress.

McCormick says the key goal is to improve communication.

He won’t speculate about other members leaving the caucus however say’s he’s heard rumors.

McCormick believes the Tory party will rebound from the turbulent last few months and thinks it still has a healthy Alberta base.
