Wickenheiser played gold medal game with broken foot

Hayley Wickenheiser had a broken foot when she helped Canada claim gold at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
The hockey star revealed her injury Tuesday at the Hockey Hall of Fame donning a walking boot.
Wickenheiser tells The National Post, she’s been struggling with an injury for about a year now but didn’t realize how serious it was during the Olympics.
She says now that the games are over; she can rest the foot and focus on getting healthy.
It isn’t the first time Wickenheiser has played with an injury; during the 2006 games, she had a broken wrist.
