The Calgary Stampede’s 2026 attendance is already seeing a drop from the previous year, which was close to breaking the record set in 2024.
Numbers for the “Greatest Outdoor Show in the World” show that a total of 327,456 people have entered the gates over the last three days, including Sneak-A-Peek.
Opening day had 155,518, and Saturday had 139,914. Sneak-A-Peek had around 32,000 visitors.
This is a drop from 161,057 and 142,199 in 2025, respectively, with Sneak-A-Peek at 35,715 that year. The total at this point was 338,971 — a difference of just over 11,515.
The attendance record was nearly broken in 2025 at 1,470,288 — short by around 7,000 visitors. The record remains at 1,477,953 from 2024.
The Calgary Stampede Parade, meanwhile, had an estimated 315,000 visitors downtown to watch over 125 entries along the route Friday morning, officials confirmed.
Sunday is Tim Hortons Family Day at Stampede Park until 11 a.m., and it comes with a free pancake breakfast at the GMC Stadium Courtyard until 10 a.m.
Family Day has been a high-attendance day at the Stampede over the past two years, with 2024 drawing 201,260 visitors and the next year 182,063.
