Provincial government communications staff wages shock CTF

Another round of spending accusations is hitting the Alberta government.

This time it’s for spending more than $21-million per year on its 214 communications professionals

Derek Fildebrandt, the Alberta director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, tells the National Post, it is a number that far outweighs the number of government reporters.

He said he was shocked when he discovered the sheer number of staffers.

Documents show communications staff with tourism, health and municipal affairs earn wages and benefits of $121,000 or more alone.
