Calf Robe Bridge Work Causes Delay

Many of you may have noticed delays heading Southbound on Deerfoot Trail.
Engineers were doing emergency repair work at the Calf Robe Bridge.
Duty Inspector Michael Watterston says you should be okay getting to work Tuesday morning.
“There are two lanes closed Southbound while they do that work, and they are expecting to have all three lanes open for the morning commute,” says Watterston.
Staff Sgt. Sheldon Scott says joints on the bridge are loose.
“Another engineer called in and noticed it was coming up, the finger joint was raising up, and it was a safety concern,” says Scott.
Carmax was called in and confirmed the issue.
Sheldon says workers are welding the problem to prevent the issue from damaging vehicles.
