The beautiful weather Wednesday afternoon was a cause for concern for fire officials.
Because it’s so dry and windy, the town of Cochrane has imposed a fire ban, suspending all burning permits until further notice.
The ban covers incinerators, burning barrels, fire pits, charcoal barbecues and chimeneas.
You can still use camp stoves and propane or gas barbecues.
The only other fire bans in the province right now are in rural areas outside Edmonton.
