Get your cheque book ready.

The city sent out tax bills to 460,000 Calgary households Friday.

If you don’t get your bill by the first week of June, you should call 311 to get a copy.

Property taxes are due Friday, June 30th or you can sign up for the tax instalment plan, used by more than half of property owners in the city.

Anyone who doesn’t pay up faces a seven per cent penalty

City Council set the 2014 tax rate earlier this year, dipping into tax room from the province to reduce the intended increase.
