It was June 5th, 1956 when Elvis Presley swung his hips into history.
The rendition of Hound Dog featured Presley swiveling his hips and cradling the microphone stand in a provocative manner.
His controversial appearance on the Milton Berle show sparked outrage.
It was only a few months later when the future king of rock and roll would book a deal with the Ed Sullivan Show to appear for a then record $50,000.
