High River remembers 2013 flood destruction

The Town of High River is reflecting on last year’s destruction, and how far they’ve come since the flood.
The community suffered some of the most extensive damage in 2013, as entire neighbourhoods sat underwater for weeks.
A commemoration ceremony is being held Friday morning at 11a.m., at the Museum of the Highwood.
It will be followed by a barbecue.
Mayor Craig Snodgrass, Premier Dave Hancock, and a number of other dignitaries are expected to speak.
