A decision to play the Lotto 6/49 has resulted in a brand new world for a Calgary man.
Doyle Paul has won $1.75 million.
He bought the ticket at a gas station on Macleod Trail.
Paul said when he went to check his ticket the clerk joked, “I’m sorry sir, I don’t think I can pay you that amount.”
He said he plans to pay off his mortgage, buy a new car and help out some family and friends.
He also said he’s always wanted to travel to New York, so he’ll definitely do that as well.
