A young Edson man has drowned while swimming with family in the Mcleod River, west of Edmonton.
23-year-old Stephen Dicks started showing signs of distress around 6 p.m. Sunday evening, when he went under the water and did not resurface.
Family members tried to save him but could not.
RCMP located Dicks’ body in about seven feet of water, 15 to 20 feet from shore.
