Cowtown gets its own guided Segway tours

You may have tried them in other big cities, and now Calgary has its very own guided Segway tours.
River Valley Adventure and Canada West Segway is offering the tours, which begin behind the Talisman Centre in Lindsay Park, overlooking the banks of the Elbow River.
Spokesperson Chris Szydlowski tells 660News, the tours aren’t just for visitors.
“It’s for those people that are locals, and maybe haven’t experienced some of the culture this city has, and some of the parks, and it’s also a great opportunity for tourists to come, and learn a little bit about the city, and leave with a really fun experience,” he said.
There are five guided tours a day on the two-wheeled, electric vehicles, starting at 11a.m.
They’ll run until the end of October, and then the project will be evaluated to see if it will continue.
