It’s a celebration of athletic achievement in Calgary.
The 10th Annual Mayor’s Sport Breakfast is taking place at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre.
The guest speaker this year is two-time Olympic gold medalist for bobsleigh Kaillie Humphries.
Executive Director Tim Bjornson tells 660News, money made from the event goes to a good cause.
“What the proceeds actually do is help us help us fund the operation of All Sport One Day, which is our program for kids; a free day for sports discovery for kids from the ages of 6-12,” he said.
Bjornson says it’s also a great opportunity to cultivate the relationship between Calgary Sport and the business community that supports it.
