Canadian man likely killed in ISIS Raid

A 20-year-old Hamilton, Ontario man may be the first Canadian killed in the military action against ISIS.

Officials are trying to confirm whether Mohamud Mohamed Mohamud was killed last week in northern Syria while fighting with the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham.

The National Post reports, Mohamud disappeared two months ago, later phoning his mother to tell her he was with “the brothers in Syria.”

A few days ago, an online post surfaced with his picture, saying he had been killed in an ISIS raid on the Kurdish villages near the Turkish border.

Former high school classmates say the young man was involved in student council, and was outgoing, confident and hardworking.
