39th Ave LRT station closed this weekend for repairs

A heads-up for weekend commuters: the 39th Avenue CTrain station will be closed both Saturday and Sunday for a number of construction projects.

Calgary Transit’s Ron Collins says the aging concrete needs repairs.

“We will also be cleaning out the drain system in the nearby Cemetery Hill tunnel and replacing some of the public address speakers at the 39th Avenue station,” he said.

Collins explains they are in the process of upgrading this and three other platforms for four-car CTrain service.

Shuttle buses will be in place to accommodate riders between the Chinook and Erlton-Stampede stations.
