Calgary mother named ‘Mompreneur of the Year’

A Calgary mom is doing it all when it comes to balancing family life and creating a niche business.
As she heads into the third year of operation, Andrea Iervella, founder of SchoolWorx, tells City News, she attributes her success to the right attitude.
SchoolWorx creates ‘one-of-a-kind’ books from collections of arts and crafts that parents have accrued from their children.
“Advice I’d give to other moms is to absolutely connect with organizations within their own city that support moms in business,” she said. “It’s vital because you have to look to people who have already been in those shoes.”
Andrea was recently named Canada’s ‘Mompreneur of the Year’ by the Mompreneur Showcase Group.
