We may soon find out if we’re heading to the polls.
Premier Jim Prentice says he’ll tackle the issue of whether or not he’ll seek a mandate from Albertans in the coming days.
His comments come after the release of a Mainstreet Technologies poll which shows some outrage over the government’s new budget.
The poll finds the PCs and Wildrose in a dead heat and the NDP poised to sweep Edmonton.
When asked for his reaction, Prentice says he’s not concerned about the numbers.
“I’ll focus on doing the right thing for Alberta and for Albertans and not on poll,” he said.”Clearly this is a difficult budget. Clearly, facing $20-billion in cumulative deficits over the next three years because oil prices have collapsed”
He joked about internal polling, saying they’re keeping an eye on things, but declined to share the numbers
