Okotoks hosts Blue Jays summer camp

Toronto Blue Jays alumni will be giving pointers to young players this summer in Okotoks.

Seaman Stadium is playing host to the Toronto Blue Jays Honda Super Camp for the third year in a row.

The event for amateur baseball players aged 9-16 runs from Tuesday, July 7 – Thursday, July 9.

Leigh March, with the Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Club, tells 660News participants may be a little star struck by some of the special guests.

“I think the most popular one coming back, for parents and kids alike, is definitely hall of famer Roberto Alomar. We were lucky enough to have him at our banquet as well and he got to talk to our academy kids. In addition to him, Duane Ward is going to be here, Devon White, George Bell, Lloyd Moseby, Jesse Barfield, and Homer Bush as well,” she said.

There are only 140 spots, and they fill up fast.

There are 14 other Super Camps happening across Canada this summer.
