A member of Premier Prentice’s security detail is in hospital with minor injuries after colliding with the back of the campaign bus Tuesday afternoon.
It happened just before 2pm, RCMP officers were called out to a crash at RR 6-4 and TWR 40-1A in Clearwater County, near Rocky Mountain House.
“No one seems to be seriously injured, the driver of the SUV was taken to hospital with minor injuries and the nine occupants of the bus, including the Premier, are unjured,” said Sergeant Josée Valiquette.
“So far the investigation indicates the SUV was following the bus and it hit the rear of the bus, so it would have rear-ended the bus, as to why this would have occurred? We don’t know at this time,” she added.
There’s no word yet on charges, Valiquette says it’s still very early in the investigation.
