As the Flames skate further into their playoff series with Anaheim, the Fire Department is stressing public safety on the Red Mile.
They’ve put together a special task force that includes fire safety code officers, police officers, and business, gaming and liquor inspectors.
The team will be making sure bars and nightclubs are posting and adhering to building capacities and that there are accessible exits and functional fire alarms.
The Fire Department is also issuing a warning about fireworks, after someone set some off during Red Mile celebrations last week.
Officials remind the public they are illegal and can be extremely dangerous, especially when set off in large crowd.
