Fatal crash claims one cyclist on Hwy 3 near Monarch, AB

Southern Alberta RCMP are reminding people to keep their eyes on the road after a fatal crash Saturday morning.
Two cyclists were travelling eastbound in the shoulder on Highway 3, approximately 20 kilometers west of Lethbridge.
Just before 11:00a.m., an eastbound car fatally struck one of the cyclists.
The driver and her passenger remained on scene; they were unharmed as well as the other cyclist.
Lethbridge Rural, Fort MacLeod and Picture Butte RCMP attended, along with EMS who declared the one cyclist dead on scene.
An investigation is ongoing and more information will be released over the coming week.
