Local firefighter mourned

A tragic loss for the Calgary Fire Department.

A firefighter was killed in a canoeing accident Sunday, on Columbia Lake near the Fairmont Hot Spring in British Columbia.

Ryan Bjolverud had been with the fire department for two years.

Condolences have been pouring in on social media, with members of the Fire Department changing their profile picture to the CFD logo, with a black ribbon through the middle.
