Beating the post-Stampede blues

The curtain has come down on Stampede 2015.

With no free pancake breakfast or a two-step dance on the menu, Monday could be a tough day for some.

Calgary Psychologist and Marriage Therapist, Sheldon Walker, said one of the best ways to beat the post-Stampede blues is to focus on the next big event on your social calendar which could be another big party or an upcoming vacation.

“We’re humans and a lot of us really like that carrot on the stick. If there’s something to look forward to, it’s a big motivator,” he said.

If you partied hard this year, Walker recommends easing yourself back into work and using the next few days to catch up on sleep.
