Calgary-based exterminators say they’re seeing an influx in wasp-related calls across the city.
Abell Pest Control Regional Manager Len Patkau told 660 NEWS, it’s normal this time of year for the queen to set shop up somewhere and those nests start to grow.
“You start to see a lot more activity because the nests are so much larger and established now,” he explained. “That’s where we start getting the major phone calls of people really noticing them.”
Wasps, he added do us a lot of good because they primarily feed on other bugs like mosquitoes.
His best advice: you keep out of their way, they’ll likely leave you alone.
