There’s a panel discussion Wednesday night in Calgary on physician assisted suicide.
It’s called ‘Dying with Dignity: Are we kinder to our pets?’
Trish Remmers is the Dying with Dignity Canada Chapter Coordinator, and says work needs to be done now.
“Especially, as Canadians, to contact their lawmakers, so that we can get some legislation in place so that on February 6th, 2016 when assisted dying is legal there won’t be confusion,” Remmers said.
Remmers says a physician and a veterinarian will attend the panel discussion to bring their perspectives on the issue.
It takes place from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Living Spirit United Church on 49 Avenue Southwest.
