Thursday rush hour madness after C-Train and van collide

Traffic came to an absolute halt during one of the busiest times of the day after a crash in the core.
The crash between a train and minivan happened at Sixth Ave. and Ninth St. SW.
Paramedics told 660 NEWS that the driver of the vehicle, who suffered minor injuries, was checked out by paramedics.
The crash closed sixth, causing back-ups during the afternoon rush and halted C-Train service in the area.
The crash happened just after 4:00p.m. and was cleared up around 5:15p.m.
Many people pulled U-turns on the one-way trying to vacate the gridlock.
Calgary Transit tweeted that they had shuttle buses in place to ferry people in and out of the core.
