Pedestrian struck and killed by CTrain

CTrain service is back to normal after a man was struck and killed by a CTrain at the Chinook LRT station during the afternoon commute.
Stuart Brideaux with EMS told 660 NEWS that the incident occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m.
“EMS responded to the vicinity of 61st Avenue near the Chinook LRT platform for reports a patient had been hit by an LRT.
An adult, believed to be male has died as a result of being struck by a train.”
Calgary Transit set up shuttle buses to ferry people around the area but not before major delays occurred in the area.
Investigators are trying to determine why the man was on the tracks.
