Alleged bank robber arrested

A 23-year-old Calgary man is facing robbery charges after three banks were held up in as many days this past week.

On Tuesday, an ATB branch in Rocky Ridge was robbed of an unknown amount of cash.

The next day, a male suspect fled a Scotiabank in the southwest without any cash after the branch manager approached him and asked to remove his sunglasses.

Then on Thursday, an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from an ATB bank on 17th avenue S.W.

Police arrested the suspect at a downtown hotel on Friday.

Curtis Douglas Keller is charged with three counts of robbery. Police believe the stick-ups may have been carried out to try and support a fentanyl addiction.
