A group of Muslim women will be at Mount Royal University Tuesday, in an effort to promote awareness and tolerance about the Hijab.
It’s part of a national campaign by the Women’s Auxiliary of Ahmadiyya, Muslim Jama’at, called Je Suis Hijabi or I Am Hijabi, in response to recent hate crimes.
There will be an opportunity to try on a Hijab, and free Hijabs will be given away.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Main Street at the MRU campus.
