Fairmont hotels sold to Paris group

Paris-based Accor Hotels has purchased one of Canada’s most prominent hotel groups.
The Fairmont Banff Springs is one of the landmark resort properties being bought up by the worldwide hotel company with help from two major Middle Eastern investors.
The deal for the Fairmont brand and two others, Raffles and Swissotels is worth $2.9 billion.
Calgary’s downtown Fairmont Palliser is also part of the deal.
