Chilly weekend expected for Calgary

It hasn’t been a great week for weather in Calgary, and it’s not going to be any better over the weekend.
Environment Canada is calling for temperatures wind chills in the -26 C to -27 C range Friday night until at least early Saturday.
Meteorologist Dan Kulak told 660 NEWS, it’s a southern Alberta event, with Lethbridge and Medicine Hat experiencing those high wind chills as well, but those north of the city in areas like Edmonton, not feeling the cold.
However, Kulak said there is some relief expected for the city next week.
“In the Calgary area we are looking for temperatures to recover to plus five by Tuesday and possibly warmer for Wednesday with plus nine currently in the forecast. It may be a little bit cooler than that, but that’s the indication right now, certainly for temperatures above zero for the early to middle part of next week.”
Those looking for something to do indoors this weekend, they can visit the BMO Centre, which is hosting the Calgary Motorcycle Show. That event goes until 9 p.m. Friday night, and runs from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday.
