Bad cheques worth thousands still circulating in central Alberta

Two people are facing charges after more than 40 bad cheques were passed throughout central Alberta, worth more than $33,000.
RCMP started investigating last December when three cheques for merchandise worth hundreds of dollars bounced at businesses in Vegreville.
They later learned about 23 other cases of the fraud dating back to last Cctober in communities that include Olds and St. Paul.
Mounties say reports of bad cheques are still coming in.
A couple from the Edmonton area, have been arrested and will appear in court Thursday.
