Councillor proposing new LRT platforms

A city councillor will propose adding new stops to an existing CTrain line Monday.

Gian-Carlo Carra wants to study the potential costs, and whether the move would increase ridership.

Council used the cheapest route when it built the red line in the 1980s and Carra says there’s potential to add more stations.

Some of the areas he’s eyeing for new platforms include: the ENMAX headquarters at 50 Avenue, Northland Mall and Fisher Industrial Park.
