Council to discuss ward boundary changes

A couple of city wards might look a little different before the 2017 municipal election.

On Monday, city council will wrap up discussions on possible adjustments to ward boundaries.

In the 2014-2015 year, Ward 3 and Ward 12 saw major population increases, with both areas expected to continue growing, although at a slower pace, this year.

The wards are both over the desired population deviation numbers, which is why the issue of boundaries was brought up back in December 2015.

Both the public and city councillors have given input, and now just a few more details need to be ironed out before the final decision is made.
