A house in Calgary where it’s believed a horrendous crime took place back in 2014 has been destroyed.
Alvin and Kathy Liknes were watching their grandson, Nathan O’Brien at their home in the southwest community of Parkhill, before all three disappeared two years ago.
Police believed a violent incident occurred inside the residence, but no bodies have ever been recovered.
The area around the home has acted as a makeshift memorial for people to offer their condolences.
Douglas Garland, 64, is charged with first degree murder in the deaths of Alvin Liknes, Kathy Liknes and Nathan O’Brien and will appear in court in 2017.
Garland was reportedly in a relationship with a member of the Liknes family.
