A traffic stop in the northeast led to a surprise find for police Tuesday morning.

Officers pulled over a vehicle just before 4 a.m. on Abalone Place for an out of date license sticker.

The driver got out of the vehicle as police approached, leading them to spot a sawed-off shotgun under the seat.

The man, believed to be about 30 years old, was quickly arrested and charges are pending.
