Much needed rain expected in the forecast

Something many people have been calling for is finally going to arrive.

We’re being told to expect a little bit of rain over the next several days.
“We could see 10mm when it comes to rainfall totals, maybe up to 20mm for the city for the top edge,” Breakfast Television Meterologist Andrew Schultz said. “However, it’s been so dry. This isn’t a case of people are worried or concerned about this amount of moisture. Good for the lawn, good for the farmers.”

Schultz also said it’s too bad the rain is going to put a damper on the weekend, but the long range forecast does include more hot dry weather so nobody should really be that upset.

“We need that moisture to promote more growth to get the lawn to turn from that yellow hue to more of a green hue,” Schultz added. “It is dry and dusty, so we could certainly use this injection of moisture. 10 mm, not bad; 20 mm, it’ll be a little soggy through the weekend, but we’ve had quite a stretch so far.”

He also said the daytime highs will be much cooler as well.
