Evansburg RCMP arrest man after reported abduction

RCMP west of Edmonton have one man in custody after reports of a possible abduction.
At about 5 p.m. Monday, Evansburg RCMP was called and given a description of a suspect vehicle.
Corp. Sharon Franks told 660 NEWS police found the vehicle some time later near Stony Plain.
It wouldn’t stop for police so officers chased it down, and set up a tire deflation device. It was rendered inoperable and RCMP arrested the suspect.
No one was injured in the incident. The investigation continues and RCMP could not confirm if someone was abducted.
