Post-it war hits Calgary

An epic Post-it note battle that broke out on two Manhattan office buildings has now spread to downtown Calgary.

Shaw employees in Scotia Centre created some colourful window art, using hundreds of those little pieces of adhesive paper.

Participant Stephen Gibson says they made some well-known video game characters, like Mario, and the office building next door took note.

“We got a reply with some more video games,” he said. “Pac-Man and RTD2 is the reply with got from the building we can see now.”

Gibson is hoping even more businesses take part.

The battle in New York began as businesses and tenants started to compete to outdo each other with elaborate window designs created entirely out of the colourful stickers.
